HTH Mobile Farm Market operates a retrofitted, 16ft trailer as a mobile farmers market, serving Columbus neighborhoods with fresh, affordable seasonal fruits and vegetables. We operate the mobile market from late June thru October.
The Mobile Market will have a regular weekly schedule (Tues, Thur & Sat) reaching multiple neighborhoods each day and targeting communities that are most underserved in terms of fresh, locally grown foods. With an add-value approach, our Mobile Market will foster community engagement and establish strong working partnerships with key stakeholders including health centers, schools, and other community-based organizations to maximize outreach.
The Mobile Market concept is based on a proven model that has been very successful and impactful in other major cities, such as Chicago and Washington, D.C. and Columbus will be the first city in central Ohio to have a Mobile Market such as ours! All proceeds help to support the Hope Thru Housing program while teaching job skills to our residents.
